one week left...

*sigh* the weekend is over--and what a weekend it was!!

went home to see mom, dad, and bro for bro's b-day. we enjoyed each other's company and watched way too much tv. it was very relaxing and a good chance to unwind from the business that has been my work/life schedule recently.

work has been crazy busy due to a big meeting coming up next week. almost the entire lab is boarding a plane for germany. 4 of us are staying behind to hold down the fort. translation: 4 of us are staying behind to do everyone else's work since they're off galavanting around europe. no worries though, i plan on taking at least one afternoon for myself.

life has been busy with NSP (national ski patrol) classes and the ever constant desire to lose weight. i finally made the big decision to go on a diet. i'm happy with the progress i've made in the last week. besides losing a few pounds, i have also been very consistent about getting up at 6:30am to go to the gym before work. i know, i know...it's shocking. :)

steve was in oklahoma city this past week and has returned to san diego. it was nice having him in the same time zone for once. oh well, back to the midnight phone calls.

so here i am, sitting at work...trying to get through this last hectic week before the calm. it's going to be so weird when no one is here next week. it might almost be peaceful!

I know what you mean about trying to get up and exercise before work. I was so good with that this past year, but since my shoulder injury early on this summer and my heart thing, I have had the hardest time getting motivated again. i think i just need to start getting to bed earlier. i love working out or running before work.

I'm glad you've got the motivation to get up and get going. Mine has seemed to have left me. Oh well. I'm getting burnt out on these tests. I need to take a trip out to Columbia and have a little blood with my alcohol stream.

We both have our significant others in San Deego! I need to start waking up early to work out. Ugh. I'm a slob.
