day 7

...the 5 times/week updating may not be doable. i seem to have very little to say except "i was supposed to run 4 miles and i did!" :) perhaps we'll work it down to 2-3 times/week.

...running this week went really well. i missed one training run on the 4th; however, hit every other goal. friday and saturday i got some good hill running in and tonight i took a little 2.5 mile tour of my neighborhood. i really love running in my neighborhood -- it's quiet (no traffic) but people are always out and about. i didn't run until 8pm tonight, yet there was at least 1 person out in their yard every block i ran.

...you may have noticed that i finished "the time traveler's wife" -- my most recent book on my "now reading" list. this was a book recommended by a friend of mine and once i got into it, i gobbled it up quite quickly. the plot line runs through several time lines (one might expect this given the title). it takes a few chapters to get into -- and anyone reading it will need to pay special attention to the chapter headers as they give the date and ages of the characters to keep you in line. this said, it's a beautifully written story and i can see it becoming a full length film someday. check it out if you are A) a woman, B) a sucker for romance, C) not easily annoyed with a hard to follow plot line.

...time for beddy-bye. ernie out.

Good luck with your first marathon. Looking forward to stopping by and reading occasionally. I won't hold you to posting five times a week.

Way to keep to your running schedule. I guess I have ADD; I have a hard time with complicated plots.
