...i think my main computer's hard drive is corrupted. i can't boot windows using any settings. how frustrating! yet...i feel no sense of urgency. i've been here before. i've lost a ton of stuff to poor backup habits. in fact...i feel quite numb to the situation. it's just a computer. i have to say that there is nothing on it that i will be distraught to lose. sure there might be a few songs off of itunes that i didn't get transferred over to the laptop, or a couple pictures/documents...but on the whole i can't think of anything...and if i can't think of it, must not be that important - right? oh well...will see what kind of recovery i can do this weekend. i'm too busy/tired to mess with it before saturday.

Wow, Erin...what a bummer! I try and backup up periodically, but that's one of my biggest fears...the death of my laptop...
Sorry to hear about the computer. I probably should run a backup on mine since it's the only one I have, and it's quickly approaching Year 5 of life :)
