it's christmas time...

...well, it's very nice to be home. it seems this blog is filled with posts about how busy life is and how much i need to slow down and relax. i'm thankful that i finally have a week to 10 days to do just that.

...already i have spent time sitting and doing nothing. ahhh...the life. my brother and i have been playing computer games and eating all sorts of bad food. i have no desire to go back to work. :) any of you from work reading this -- of course i love you all...but for now i'm happy to be away from st. louis.

...today i got my hair dyed -- really, REALLY dark brown. it might take awhile to get used to -- but i think i'm going to like it. i might eventually put some highlights in it...it is quite different.

...tomorrow begins the christmas traditions. i like having christmas eve on sunday. it's nice to go to church and remember the real reason for the season as we head into all the celebrations. we're going to have our regular morning service as well as a candlelight service in the evening. then our family is going to drive around the local area looking at the christmas lights that people have put up on their houses.

...christmas eve night is generally a time where we sit as a family and watch movies and read the christmas story. we get up the next morning and open our presents. then we begin the travel. first to my grandma's house (dad's side) for lunch and then to my granparents on my mom's side for dinner. such a busy but fun couple of days ahead.

...well, i have some other exciting news to post...but i'll wait until later to share.

frohe weihnachten!

Happy Holidays! If it's any comfort, I don't want to go back to work either. ;)
