...warning: not for people who are frightened of city travel and possible problems that could occur because of it...

to the police officer that followed me in the parking lot:

i just wanted to write you to let you know how thankful i am for your presence last evening as i walked to my car at the park and ride. after the night i'd had, it was nice to feel safe as i entered the parking lot.

did you see the three guys on the corner? the one looked at me really long and i stared him down in return. i doubt i would have been so brave had you not been 100 ft. behind me. i was comforted knowing i had my running shoes on and the ability to run 13 miles straight; however, the gun you had at your side seemed a quicker way for me to get home without incident.

i can't believe the train had problems and we had to take a bus. it was such a ridiculous fiasco and then to top it off, no one walked the way i did to the park and ride. you may have followed me without realizing it, but either way i am so grateful knowing you were there and that i was not alone.

God sends his angels, i believe you were one for those brief 5 minutes.

God bless you in everything.

Wow. That's scary! That's something I DO NOT miss about St. Louis. I always used to use an escort to drive me home (or to the car). Too many bad things happen.

You look great in your vacation pics b.t.w!
