on the reading list at the moment are the books by david pelzer. i'm almost finished with "a child called 'it'". if you haven't heard of this man's story or haven't read the books, i highly recommend you check them out. it's a very depressing, yet inspirational story of a physically abused child that strove to survive. his case is regarded as one of the top 3 most gruesome abuse cases in california history with the other two children having died at the hands of their abusers. today david pelzer is a public speaker and activist. he has used his experience to help other children in similar situations.
