my new baby...

well, after drooling over LCD monitors for several months, i finally cracked and bought one. not that it wasn't needed, mind you. my 17" CRT had begun to get the fuzzy lines and high pitched whines associated with a monitor on the downward spiral of life. it now resides in the office of my boyfriend whom i think will be using it for a dual display. at least it will have a fun end to it's life. at any rate, a new monitor was needed and i figured i should get something that will be worth the money i spend....so here i sit, in front of its beauty. :) this envision 17" monitor was quite the deal actually...comp usa had a wonderful rebate offer with it that knocked the price from $300 to $180. how can you beat that?? plus, i could have had the guy working there too, if i had tried hard enough. he carried the monitor to my car (it only weighs 8 pounds). he also groped himself a lot...i think he was a bit uncomfortable. ;) he tried to sell me the "replacement plan" but he didn't get very far due to my logical rebuttal. it's fun watching them squirm. i mean really...why would i pay as much as the monitor cost me to have it replaced?? seems pretty dumb to me. got home, opened the box....and there was envision's offer for replacement....quite the discount compared to comp usa. buyer beware and all that good stuff. i'm not going for their offer either. i figure if it sucks that bad, why would i want another one?? this is model EN-7410. i love it. can't you tell....
