1. ski trip to utah
ok, this was the most fabulous trip giving me a good opportunity to improve my ski skills. i have never skied true powder before and let me tell you, it's awesome! we had about 2-3 ft of powder down and it snowed consistently on us both the days we were there. also got to see a friend of mine who lives/goes to school in the salt lake city area. he and i used to work together and were able to hang out a bit.
2. trip to the hospital
let me just tell you first of all...it's not as bad as they make it out to be!! what's that you ask?? well, let's just put it this way....they have a camera and need to see inside you for problems in the gasto area. yeah, that covers it. the absolute worst part is the day before the procedure when you a) can't eat, b) have to drink over a gallon of sweaty, thick, gag inducing liquid, and c) can't do anything fun for fear that you're going to get sick at the exact wrong moment. i managed to drink over 2 liters before the vomiting began. it was miserable!! i retched for the next 4 hours. the next day IN the hospital, i was good to go. they put me out on some propofol and asleep i went for a good 45 mins. woke up feeling great -- no pain. all in all, i guess i could handle it again...but i'm thinking i'll wait until i'm in my 50's like you're supposed to be when you have these things done. at least nothing major was wrong.
